Mr. Tilford Joe Wright

Tilford Joe Wright, also known as TJ, was born on March 29, 1966, to the parentage of the late Normie L. Wright, Sr. and Hazel Hicks Wright, in Jefferson, Texas. He was the youngest son of ten children.

Tilford united with the Judea Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Bolden. He was baptized in the neighborhood pond. He received his education in the Jefferson Independent School District, Jefferson, Texas, and graduated in the Class of 1984. Tilford was an all-around athlete, from all district’s wide receiver and defensive back in football, to all district in track and baseball.

In May of 1984, Tilford was joined in holy matrimony to Teresa Love and to this union a son was born, Colreon.

Tilford was preceded in death by his parents: Normie and Hazel Wright, brother: Frank Wright, and sister: Juanita Wright Williams.
