Rashana Briann Jones

Rashana Briann Jones “Shu” was born to Rashida Jones Daws and Juan Flowers on October 4, 1994 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rashana departed this life on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the age of 27 at her home.

Rashana was preceded in death by her grandmother Marion Jones, her great-grandmother Victoria Chriss Selmon and cousin James Robinson. Rashana was baptized at New Life Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. Rashana attended Hastings High School in Houston, Texas.

On October 22, 2015, Rashana gave birth to her pride and joy, Khalia Milan Tubman. In addition to being a mom, Rashana had a gift for creating candy grapes, fruit baskets and anything else she set her mind to. Rashana was on her way to doing big things with her business “Shu’s Yummie Grapes.” She had a love of fashion, traveling, cooking and eating crawfish. She also loved cooking for her family and friends.

To know Rashana was to love Rashana. She was the life of every party and knew how to make you laugh.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her beautiful daughter, Khalia Milan Tubman; mother: Rashida Jones Daws, stepfather: Donald Daws; father: Juan Flowers; three brothers: Donald Daws, Brandon Daws and Juan K. Simpson; one sister: Kjuan Tru Ward; grandmother: Flavia Ross; aunt: Martoria Jones; uncle: Guy Flowers; great aunts: Pamela Chriss, Cassandra Green (Ernest) and Tammy Evans (Darryal); great uncles: Darrence Jones (Lydia), Kevin Jones and Renee Chriss and a host of relatives and friends.
