Mrs. Sheila Angela Hall-Thompson
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, & Friend
Sheila Hall-Thompson was a devoted woman of faith, family, and purpose. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, she was baptized at the age of 13 at Macedonia Baptist Church, where she proudly became a soldier in God’s army. Sheila graduated from South Side High School on May 21, 1980. She pursued her passion in beauty, completing her studies at cosmetology school in 1983. Her love for nurturing others later led to a second career in childcare that spanned over 20 years.
Sheila found deep fulfillment in ministry work. At “The Bridge” Southwest Community Christian Center in Houston, Texas, she was a tireless servant of God and community—serving as an usher, daycare worker, transportation ministry volunteer, and a member
of both the women’s and marriage ministries. She also worshiped at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, remaining a diligent and loving presence in her community.
She was preceded in death by many dear loved ones, including:
· Her grandparents: Melvin Lee Taylor, Sr. and Berniece Taylor
· Her parents: Melvin Lee Taylor, Jr. and Stella M. Taylor
· Her brother: Dan Taylor
· Her beloved in-laws: Erthal Terell Beeks, Otis Beeks, Robert Lee Thompson, Sr., Robert Lee Thompson, Jr., and LuVenne Thompson
And a host of uncles, aunties, cousins, and extended family who welcomed her with open arms in glory.
Sheila’s warmth, strength, and unwavering faith touched the lives of everyone she met. Her legacy of compassion and commitment continues to shine through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she uplifted.
