Mrs. Rosie Lee Duncan

Rosie Lee was born on September 8, 1924 in Blanche, Texas to Sam Nicholson and Alberta
Harrell. Rosie Lee attended Booker T. Washington High School in Houston Texas. Rosie Lee would meet and
later marry Mr. Billy Duncan in 1945. To this union seven children were born. She worked for many years at
Antoine’s Sandwich Shop.

She accepted Christ at an early age and would later become a member of Evangelist Temple Church of God In Christ.

Rosie entered eternal rest on August 20th, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents: Sam Nicholson and Alberta Harrel, Her Husband: Billy Duncan; one Brother: Haywood Nicholson; two Sisters: Claudia White and Jessie Mae Hunters; Five Children: Donell Duncan, Richard Duncan, Claude Duncan, Dena Duncan and Clara Mae Duncan; three Grandchildren: Jeanetta Duncan, Byron Duncan and Haywood Duncan.

She leaves to cherish and remember her memories: Her Three Children: Melvin Allen (Arteena) of Oracle, Arizona, Sammie Lee Duncan (Brenda) of Houston, Texas, and Billy Jean Duncan of Houston, Texas; Six Grandchildren: Creade Williams (Lisa), Sammy Tyrone Duncan (Detra), Brandon Lee King, Claudette Duncan, Dena Spencer (Dorsey), and LaMonica King (Mashundolynn Venters); 29 Great-Grandchildren, 68 Great-Great Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rosie Lee will be truly missed.
