Mrs. Patricia Elaine Moss

Mrs. Patricia Elaine Moss

A Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, & Friend

On July 13, 1951, Patricia “Pat,” Elaine Moss, was born to the late Rev. George Green, Sr. and Irma J. Green in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was brought up in the New Orleans public school system and she was a graduate of John McDonald Senior High School. She attended Delgado Community College, where she studied Early Childhood Development and because of the love of children, Pat worked at and managed her own daycare. She went on with her life working as a receptionist, a clerk at different supply stores, supermarkets, and bakeries.

Pat raised three incredibly handsome sons, Terrence Manuel, her oldest, Jason Moss, her middle son and Kyle Moss, her baby boy and she truly adored each one of her boys. She loved family gatherings that took place, and her boys were her prized possession on this earth. She had a unique relationship with each one of them and worked her entire life to provide the best life that she could offer for them. Everything that she did was for her sons.

Pat was brought up in a religious family. A praying Grandmother, a father as an associate minister, older brother as a pastor and a mother as a songstress with most of her siblings who sang as well. So Pat was a church going somebody! She belonged to several community choirs in the Greater New Orleans area, where her melodic soprano voice could be heard all the way to the Mississippi River. She was a faithful member of The Pentecost B.C. under the leadership of The Late Great Rev. Charles B. Winslow, Sr. and present Pastor Rev. Lionel Davis, Sr. where she sang in the choir and was a part of the Pastor’s Support Committee.

Due to Hurricane Katrina, Pat relocated to Houston, Texas in August 2005 and united with The Mt. Ararat B.C. She later joined a Senior Community, The Golden Gladiators and placed her membership with the Greenhouse International Church until accepting God’s calling. Pat was a giver, and she was active in the community where she was a regular volunteer at the food pantry. She was known to help anyone in need. Her favorite football team was the New Orleans Saints.

Pat was preceded in death by her Grandmother Rosiner “Rosie” Reed, Mother Irma J. Green, Father Rev. George Green, Sr., Brother Rev. Wilfred L. Green, Sr., and Sister Rhonda S. Green Edwards.

Pat leaves to cherish her memories her three Sons: Terrence Manuel (Erica), Jason Moss (Dominique), Kyle Moss (Antwenet). Seven Grandchildren: Elise, Amari, Omarion, Jason Jr., Jae’lyn, Kyle Jr. and Azaria. Three Brothers: George “Brother” Green, Jr. Kermit “KK” Green, Sr., Tyrone “Ty” Green. Three Sisters: Sandra “San” Bell, Linda “LaFay” LaCour and Vanessa “Nessa” DuVernay and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her mac and cheese. She also leaves her special friends at the Mariposa Senior apartments and the Golden Gladiators.

Goodnight Pat, TAKE YOUR REST… We will see you in the morning.
