Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt & Friend

Pamela Sue Hicks was born on October 1, 1959, to Mrs. Shirley Mitchell, in Rockford, Illinois.

Pamela attended McIntosh Elementary, Wilson Middle School, and Auburn High School in Rockford, Illinois. and also Texas Southern University, in Houston, Texas, where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree.

She worked in the Oil and Gas Industry for over 25+ years and was employed at Shell.

She was a book worm, who loved to immerse herself in the suspenseful novels of James Patterson. Gifted and creative, she enjoyed spending her free time making beautiful assortments and sharing her artistic touch with those around her.

She had a passion for cooking and baking—always “throwing down” in the kitchen with love and skill. From full-course meals to delicious homemade desserts, her dishes were made to bring people together. Pam faithfully served in the kitchen at McGee Chapel for over five years, blessing many with her talent and generosity.

Pam was known for her bubbly, kind, and outgoing spirit. She was never afraid to speak her mind and always ready to lend a helping hand. To so many, she was affectionately known as “Mama Pam”—a title that reflected her warmth, care, and the love she poured into everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her Father: Clamenthis Lambert, Sr.; Mother: Shirley Hicks; Siblings: Merline Horton, Marie Depree, Clemistine Lambert-Vasser, and Nathaniel Hicks.
