Mrs. Nicole Christine Carrie

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend

Nicole Christine Carrie was born on March 27, 1975, at Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California, to Nicholas John Kalogris and Jeri Lynn Swartly.

Following her early education, she went on to build a meaningful life, and completed Regency Beauty Institute in Houston, Texas in 2015.

She was employed by Swift & Company as a Décor & Rental Sales Specialist. Nicole had a true passion for event and party planning, bringing people together with care and creativity. With a great eye for fashion and interior design, everything she touched reflected beauty, style and thoughtful detail. Her favorite part of the job was collaborating with management, clients and staff alike, to ensure every event she coordinated was a success. She even planned and designed every detail of her & Donald’s wedding celebration. The wedding celebration wasn’t just an event, it was an expression of her heart, her imagination and her dedication. That same creativity and attention to detail carried through every part of her everyday life. And, those qualities are what made her so special to all of us. Today we honor her not only for what she created that day, but for the way she lived everyday – with intention, artistry, and love.

In 1999, Nicole welcomed her first child, Dasia Janae Kalogris. In 2004, she welcomed her son, Deveon Jordan Moses. In 2021, her first grandson, Messiah Devonte Aleem was born making her a very proud grandma. She loved her “little stinker” so much.

In October 2014, Nicole would meet Donald Carrie, the man that she would go on to marry in October 2021. They shared 11 years together, being married for 4 of those years. They would go on to create countless, priceless, and lasting memories. They enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, spending time with Dasia, Deveon, Messiah and other family and friends. She enjoyed mother-daughter time with Dasia, where they would discuss navigating life and its challenges, along with a little retail therapy. Nicole was not a big fan of watching football, unless it was one of Deveon’s games, where she would attend as many games as possible being a proud mom. She wanted the best for both of her kids and would do everything in her power to assist in making that happen. Nicole was the proudest grandma and loved Messiah more than anything. She would spend as much time as she could with Messiah, watching movies, taking selfies, and taking him to do several kid’s activities.

She was preceded in death by her “YiaYia” Argyro Kalogris.
