Mrs. Aritha Crowe

Mrs. Aritha Roberts Crowe was born on March 4, 1954 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Susan Boyd and Kenneth Roberts. First and foremost she was a born again Christian. She joined Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Texarkana at an early age. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family. Later on in life Aritha joined Thompson Hill Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas, from there to First Baptist in Houston and Inspire Church of Houston, Texas. She served the Lord in the Embrace Ministry at Inspire Church.

Aritha was a graduate of Arkansas High School Class of 72’, from there she went to Jarvis Christian College located in Hawkins, Texas where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She furthered her education at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, received two master degrees, one in curriculum, and another in a Master of Science in Education. Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha & Alpha Angel. Earlier she worked at U.S./Tyler Post Office, Texas College in Tyler TX.

Aritha, united in marriage to Larry Crowe on July 20, 1984, with this union they had 4 children: Latrisha, Kneatha, LaKitha, & Larry Crowe, Jr. They joined Thompson Hill Baptist Ch., Tyler, Rev. Massey was the Pastor. Years later, Aritha along with her family relocated to Houston, TX. She united with First Baptist Green Bayou Ch. under Pastor Robert Dixon. Aritha was a dedicated & committed educator (teacher) for 40 yrs., worked in & retired from both the Tyler & Houston Independent School Systems.

Aritha was a loving, caring, amazing, very strong Woman of God who impacted many lives. Some of her students are now doctors and lawyers today. She had a heart of gold. Aritha traveled extensively with her sister Sheila & Uncle Chester and enjoyed it fully.

She completed her earthly assignment Wednesday, June 2, 2021. The Grace of God kept her every day and it was the Grace of God that led her to glory. Family that preceded her in death: Her Mother: Susan Boyd Mothershed, Her Husband: Larry Crowe, Sr.; Her Father: Kenneth Roberts; Her Aunt: Claudia Boyd Ward; Her Uncles: Bill Woodard, Chester L. Boyd, Clyde D. Boyd; Her Mothers-in-law: Eleanor McCann and Laura Crowe.

She Leaves a Legacy of Love, Faithfulness, Hospitality, and Exemplified Strength to: Her Daughters: Kneatha Roberts, Latrisha Crowe, LaKitha Crowe of Houston, TX. Her Son: Larry Crowe, Jr. (Alina Solis) of Houston, TX.; Grandchildren: Ellis Gant, Kensley Wallace, Kylie Crowe, Larry T. Crowe, III, Mariah Crowe, Noah Crowe, DeBonecia Crowe, Rico Watson, Asreial Watson, Arrika Watson, Christian Watson, Dylan Greene, all of Houston, TX. Great-Grandchildren: Avery Brown, Kaydence Brown, Royaltai Russell of Houston, TX.; Her Sisters: Adrian Roberts, Chandra Roberts Nickerberry of Los Angeles, CA., and Sheila Collins of Wake Village, TX.; Her Brother: Kenneth Roberts, Jr., of Los Angeles, CA.; Her Father-in-Law: Louis T. Crowe, Houston, TX.; Her Brothers-in-Law: Gregory Nickerberry of Los Angeles, CA; Hobart Dwain Collins of Wake Village, TX.; Her Sister-in Law: Jeanette Moore of Tyler, TX.; Her Uncles: David Boyd of Texarkana, AR., Cleophus Boyd of Huber Heights, OH., and Charles Boyd (Sandra) of Monroe, LA.; Her Aunts: Margarette Boyd Woodard of Texarkana, AR. along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special sons and daughters, and her Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Sisters.
