February 10th, in the year of our Lord of 1952 in Alief, Texas, a baby boy was born to R. B. Gordon, Sr. and Dorothy Truitt both precede him in death.
He was baptized at an early age at Greater Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist under the leadership of the late Pastor Tom Burton.
R. B. received his education in the Houston Independent School District, where he would later graduate in the class of 1971 from Abraham Lincoln High School. He would also attend Texas Southern University.
On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, the Lord called him home.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his Brother: Rev. Charles Gordon and wife, Sharon; his Sister: Ernestine Cooper; Three Aunts: Mamie Elder, Viola Gordon, and Arthur Lou Shelvin; One Uncle: Deacon Jimmy Jones; Special Friend: Margaret Baines; Three Nephews: Steven D. Gordon and wife, Michelle, Damon C. Gordon and wife, Courtney, and Corey Clark and wife, Taisha along with a host of other relatives and friends.
