Mr. Alfred Earl Hines

Mr. Alfred Earl Hines was born in Jefferson, Texas, on March 20, 1938, to parents Frank and Rutha Hines. In 1946, the family moved to Sour Lake, Texas where he attended Blackshire School. Alfred moved to Houston, Texas, in 1955 where he was employed by Sam Montgomery Oldsmobile. Later, in 1960, Alfred began employment at Cecel M. Hopper Construction Company as a Heavy Equipment operator until retirement in 2004. Alfred met Bobbie in 1965. They were married May 13, 1968 and began enjoying life. Alfred was a faithful member of New Providence Baptist Church, sang in the men’s chorus, and was a faithful usher until his health failed.
