Mother Patricia Abanathy Randle

Patricia Abanathy Randle, a woman of deep faith, extraordinary skill and unwavering love, passed away, leaving a legacy of family, dedication and grace. Born on September 7, 1930, in Brookshire, Texas, to James Sr. and Mamie Lou Abanathy. Patricia's life was a testament to her strength and spirit.
She met and married Howard Randle Sr, and together they gave life to five children: Edward, Gwendolyn, Mechera, Howard Jr., and Larry. A true domestic engineer, Patricia built a warm and loving home for her family.

However, her impressive talents extended far beyond the home; she was a woman of many trades. For a time, she worked at Brown & Root, but her creative passions truly shone as she went on to become an organ builder, fashioning intricate Hammond organ parts with her own hands. She later applied her precision and care as a dental technician.

At a young age, she gave her life to Christ and was baptized at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Brookshire, Texas. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. After moving to Houston, she found a new church home at Mount Ararat Missionary Baptist Church, where all of her children were baptized. She eventually returned to Brookshire, briefly attending Bible Fellowship before returning to her beloved home church, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained until death.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, James Sr.. and Mamie Lou Abanathy; her siblings, Lillie Vee Randle, James Abanathy Jr., Charles Abanathy, Dorothy Smith, and Naomia Stamps; her children, Gloria Pearl Rogers, Larry Randle, Gwendolyn Randle-Berring, Howard Randle Jr., and Edward Randle; and her grandchildren, Brianna McDonald, Mecheria Clewis and Brent Green.
