Mary Dinishia Patterson

Mary Dinishia Patterson

A Loving Mother, Sister & Friend

Mary Dinishia Patterson was born to Bessie Riser Johnson and Ben Johnson on June 19, 1965. She experienced tragedy at the age of 4 years old when her mother lost her life to cancer. Her Uncle stepped up to keep the family together and took in Mary Dinishia and her five siblings (the oldest went to join the military).

She attended Sikes Elementary in Sikes, Lousiana as well as both Natchitoches Junior and Senior High School. She spent many years working in the Houston Independent School District as a clerk, registrar, and executive secretary. She became a member of Reigning Glory Church and began the process of learning to heal herself and forgive. In August of 2016 she started work with United Health Care connecting people to the Medicare services they needed and found that not only did she like the job, but excelled at it. Two years later she left and started her own successful business as a broker with 7 agents working for her.

She leaves to cherish her 3 children, Tawanda Lewis (and husband Rokilius), Johnathan Johnson (and fiance Nesha), and Dinisha Koza (and husband Daniel) with grandchildren Dominic and Demi Koza. Her memory will also live on with her siblings, Leon Johnson, John Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Ben Johnson, Martha “Marie” Street and Sedrick Johnson as well as the love of her life, David Dusebout and a host of nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
